LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS SWEET CANAPE IDEA

As I was preparing for Christmas I was trying to find nice sweet treat ideas that were effective but still simple to make as I have so much more to do regarding the actual dinner let alone the night time buffet!!

I love these marshmallows. They are simple, cheap, effective and taste good (if you have a sweet tooth!)
You don't exactly need a recipe for these - or even a method haha as they are effectively just marshmallows dipped in chocolate. I just fancied taking photos as I was creating them!!
I have made them for two sets of parties now and everyone has come up to me to tell me how lovely they were and how I made them (not sure if that's a joke though... haha)
I added some Christmas themed decorations on them to get them all party-like.
I would buy a full bar of chocolate but only melt 4/5 squares at a time as it is surprising how much chocolate it makes once its melted!
Twist the marshmallows into the chocolate to get a good covering and then place them on your tray!
Stick the decorations on (if wanted) whilst the chocolate is still wet so it sticks well!

Once all done - place the trays in the fridge. Once dry, the trays/marshmallows can be stacked on top of each other to save space!

I got all my ingredients from Home Bargains. The trays - 79p each, the marshmallows - £1, the chocolate - £1 and the decorations -79p each!!

Serve these up along side your pudding platters or dot them round the room like canape trays!

'Christmas Party' Season Pretty Little Thing Wish List

As Christmas is slowly (but quickly) creeping upon us I thought I would do a quick Christmas Party wishlist from Pretty Little Thing as you all seemed to love the last wish list I did from them! I still cant believe how many views it got in the first few hours! but thankyou!

ANYWAY -
1 -  This is a great top to dress up and dress down. Especially if your Christmas party is a meal out or something slightly more casual! I also love the recently popular trend of wearing a detailed triangle bra/lace bralet underneath to give a little bit of sexiness away if you dont want to actually get your boobs out/have none to get out even if you wanted too (like me) Buy it here - £15

2 - How gorgeous is this dress?! Perfect for the slightly more extravagant Christmas party. You can wear it again and again - black tie events etc and even a prom?! so elegant and affordable! Buy it here - £25

3 - glitter and sequins... what else best describes Christmas?! I love this for your Christmas night out with your girls etc. It could easily be worn again without looking too Christmassy but screams Christmas when worn in the right season! Buy it here - £30

4 - A slightly more 'demure' version of number 3. Subtler glitz and slightly longer but still gorgeous. Ability to wear again without Christmas - 10/10. Buy it here - £25

5 - I think this is my favourite one! The shape and silhouette is absolutely gorgeous. I love the colour, the neckline - everything! They have got this spot on with the design! Perfect to dress up and dress down depending non what night you have planned and super amazing if you have lumps, bumps and problem areas as it doesn't cling to everything you have! Buy it here - £25

Hope you've enjoyed this just as much as my previous wish list. Happy shopping and have a lovely Christmas Party!!!

Pretty Little Thing Wish List - Autumnal Wear

I have heard of the online retailer 'PrettyLittleThing' for a while - its been around on a lot adverts lately, but I have never really checked it out as I only trust ASOS as my shopping destination when the shop is only online.
I have had some trouble with Miss Guided so that has put me off. The quality is never ever the same as it looks on the pictures and a lot of my friends have had trouble with their delivery/refund policy.

So as a quick intro into this brand - if, like me, your not really into investigating new online retailers, I thought I would put together a 'wish list' piece of some of my favourite clothes in their 'New In' section. Keeping it as Autumn as possible as shops have started to slowly filter out their Summer sections.
They also seem to always have good offers on - as I was looking there was 20% off all dresses until that midnight, free delivery (winner) til the following midnight AND 15% student discount!

1. Shirt Dress - £20 I'm not normally a fan of shirt dresses but I like this as its long enough to wear in Summer on holiday with lace up gladiators, and then with white jeans in the Summer but back in the UK. But also with dark jeans/leggings when transitioning into the Autumn!

2. Trousers - £15 - I love these! Again - I'm not really a fan of trousers as I don't really have anywhere to wear them like work etc but these work for me as they are so versatile. They can be worn as shown for a nice dinner date or worn with flat shoes for your office job which isnt quite a boring suit situation. Failing that you can just roll around your house in them pretending as if you have something important to do.. somewhere.. but not sure where. Thats what I will do anyway.

3. Backless Dress - £10 I know this is probably unsuitable for Autumn but its a going out dress, and me and all my friends (and everyone I have ever seen go out) won't let the weather stop us in our outfit choice for the night out! Even in snow we are in small clothes and heels!! And with this colour being a wine-y shade of red I think it kinda fits in with the theme! It's flattering on all skin colours as it is so warming(it does come in 4 different Autumnal colours). And only 10 bloody ££££££'s.

4.Grey Jumper - £15 I LOVE this jumper. I love how its styled, I love the mix of colours, and I love the chunky knit of it. So much so, that as I was clicking through the collection to find some stuff for this post I quickly ordered it haha!! Not much more to say other than I really love it! And want to get myself some Chelsea boots to match now!

5. Boots - £20 - Last but not least I have chosen some shoes. I went for more winter shoes than heels as they would be worn more than strappy little things. I like these as they come up slightly higher than ankle boots so give you more protection against the cold/snow, and they also have a nice heel on them too as there is nothing worse than completely flat shoes - it makes me back ache terribly! I like the cute little gold detailing too!

GladSkin Review For Adult Acne

Since puberty really I have had spots. And I am not just talking about the odd one here and there i'm talking a full face of angry redness. When I think about Acne I think of really awful scars etc but when I took my 'before' pictures for this trial I realised bloody hell I really do have acne haha. Its pretty depressing, I cant even contemplate having a day where makeup isnt an option.
So when a trial came up from GladSkin - I couldnt refuse. They pride themselves on their acne gel which eats all the bad bacteria off your face - which leads to the angry spots. I also have dry skin in places (T section) where I over scrub. No amount of moisturizer heals this so I opted to try their Daily Care cream too!

This is how it came, with instructions too.
You apply the gel on your face 2-3 times a day ( I do it morning and night and extra in the day if I am having a bad skin day) and once that is dry (2-3 mins) you apply the cream over the top!
You wait for a few mins and then do your daily makeup/skin routine.

I have used these both for a few days and noticed my skin was actually getting slightly worse - though I dont know if that's because I am coming up to my period and thats when my skin gets the worse no matter what I do. However, I have read my own reviews on this product and a lot of them say that their skin went through a bad phase but then came out good. So I am persevering haha and hoping "it has to get worse before it gets better" rings true as it is my graduation coming up!!!

I have taken my 'before' pics (and very apprehensive about posting them as I have never noticed how ugly I am haha) and will take my 'after' pics once I have completed the trial.

UPDATED Hair Worx - Hair Growth Review

I think I may not be the only person in the world to have SUPER slow growing hair.. It has taken me approx 20 years to grow it half way down my back (3 inches past my boobs for reference) so I have been thinking about buying some hair/skin/nails style tablets. I brought some from Superdrug a few years ago and they were so huge!! probably the size of my little finger nail (I have long nails) I'm not too bad with swallowing tablets but they were unbearable and would stick down my throat so they would leave a horrible after taste. To be honest I didn't even notice much difference after the course anyway so I gave up hope. I had been thinking about taking some again as its my graduation coming up and wanted to look the best possible (my hair is awfully thin and I have slight adult acne). I was delighted to be kindly gifted these tablets by Hair Worx. I will be doing a 'before and after' post once I have finished the course of tablets as well so you can see the difference yourself :).

I have been taking them for a week now and I can honestly say I can see a tiny bit of difference. I'm not expecting miracles as my hair isn't great anyway but I am hoping just to finally be happy with what I look like. In addition to this, my skin has also calmed down too. I know the tablets aren't specifically for skin but as the tablets are a mixture of different vitamins etc vital for hair growth which also relates to clear skin and nail growth.
Here is where you can check them out on their website; http://www.tnhealth.co.uk/
and their Amazon link; Amazon

UPDATE

I have finally finished the course of this product! I have taken before and after photos to see if you can see the difference. I personally can - its not had a rapid growth as my hair isn't like that so it just wouldn't be possible. BUT I have noticed a change in growth as I have noticed I haven't needed a trim so often so therefore it's been getting longer because less has been taken off. Which leads me onto the saying the quality of my hair has changed, its gone from being quite coarse and dry to extremely shiny and manageable! The product is a mix of supplements to help promote healthy hair and as I am a vegetarian I dont get a lot of protein or iron (promoting strong hair) so this has really benefited me!

Between these photos I have had one hair trim (a month ago) and dyed my hair the night before!!

Fun In Blackpool!

Welcome to Blackpool..

Last Saturday, I traveled up to Blackpool with two of my best friends with the intentions of lots of chips, laughs and penny machines! We met our other best friend Abbey up there as she was moving home from Uni (preston) and we decided to help her whilst making a day of it!!
First of all we were starving so we got some chips and fish 'barms' (massive piece of fish between bread) they were so hot and crispy - so delicious!! I love seaside food, so much so that my mouth is watering and i'm going to have to go and get my tea haha... I'm back!!
We decided to go and sit on the beach to eat our food - however, we forgot the trauma of the seagulls which saw the food and went for us all! We just kept running and running - it was horrific as I hate hate hate seagulls haha but obviously absolutely hilarious to look back on!!

After that traumatic experience - we then decided we actually wanted to do something whilst we were there so we got tickets for Madame Tussauds and the Sea Life Center for only £20 which I thought was really good considering a normal ticket for one thing is £16.50! I have a feeling things in Blackpool are infamous for being tacky and rubbish? Not sure if I am right haha but this first place was definitely a mix between the two! Some were crazy good - enough to want to look into their eyes to make sure they werent real as we have all seen those celeb pranks where the people are posing and the celeb suddenly moves! However - some were completely AWFUL! not sure if they havent been updated or just genuinely bad, hence the labels underneath them all... (ps try and spot the horrendous ones!)
